Been a while since I last posted. Busy with life. The past 17 weeks have been a whirlwind. Lots happened. Lots did not happen. Went down to Da Paolo Bistro Bar tonight for dinner at Rochester Park. Yummy. They serve good food. Had the antipasti selection and calamari as starters. The antipasti is laid out on the counter, and you get to pick 8. I had the eggplant, zucchini, parma ham, omelette, asparagus, leeks, tuna pate and stuffed tomatoes with risotto.
For the mains, we had pasta alla carbonara, a crayfish tagliatelle, grilled seabass and ribeye. OMG, the ribeye was perfect. The outside was seared to a fragrant crispy consistency reminiscent of bak kwa. And the inside was so juicy and tender. The pasta was also good... firm yet smooth.
The desserts were good too.. a tiramisu and a flourless choc. cake.

All in all, a good dinner.

Should actually start recording down all the great restaurants i've visited...off hand, there's Sabai, a Thai place in Ngee Ann City. Gorgeous. There's Cha Restaurant in Purvis St. Global Kitchen at Pan Pacific is kind of funky... and new age. OK.. i can't remember all of them. 17 weeks of feasting non-stop every weekend.

Will be taking off for Taiwan soon. Might get some CNY shopping done over in Taipei.Maybe some clothes or snacks. Then again, i'm not that keen on splurging. Some fiscal conservatism is necessary, especially with the new car coming...
