I'm now positive that the weather plays a huge role in mood determination. It was marvellously glorious today here - for February. Sunny, cloudless, temperatures in the low 70s (low 20s on the Celsius scale). This was more like late Spring/early Summer weather, but no... here we are in late Winter, enjoying this fine day, which surprised locals too.
And everyone felt so happy. Really. Me too.

You don't get that kind of weather-related mood swing in the tropics, because there's hardly any variability. It's mostly afternoon thunderstorms (which don't last very long). On the rare ocassion, you get more frontal rain (which lasts all day)... which cools things down, you feel comfy, not exactly sad. Comfy. Plus day length doesn't change much. More or less 12 hours give and take 10 mins whole year round.

But the weather plays an increasing role esp. you head up the latitudes towards the poles. I'm sure that's why the Scandinavians LOVE their summers. Even the British love the SUN. They get so little of it, that it makes you sad. Really. Sad.

Sun therapy. It's the sun, not the heat specifically. Just the glow of the sun makes you happy.

Possibly one of my brightest post yet.
