Thanks to Apple's new Intel computers, the prices of older models have plummeted significantly! Bought a new Powerbook for a $350 us reduction. Consequently, it cost me nearly $800 sing dollars less than if i were to have bought it in Singapore. Smashing deal huh. 80Gb, 1.5 GHz, 512 Mb RAM for 2k sing. HUGE improvement over my old machine. Plus, it's wireless enabled. So finally, i'm onto the wireless revolution. Typing this entry at starbucks without wires. Never knew my apartment was wireless-enabled too! So, i can move my laptop onto my bed and still be connected. This is really nice. Hopefully this investment (ok, it's an old model.. but who cares. I'm not a tech-junkie), will boost work efficiency, since i can now take notes in class on the laptop. Yes, my old computer battery cannot hold anymore charge. So it was either getting a new battery for the computer and survive on 64 Mb RAM (which means only 4 apps max at a time) or just going low on food. Yes, cutting back on foods. Which means days and days of ham and cheese sandwich for days to come. And tinned tomatoes. Maybe i'll fall back on the student staple - baked beans and sausage. They come in neat tin cans. But yes, they aren't that yummy. Flatulence even.

Ok, my Venti Mocha is going strong. Shocking that Venti Espresso isn't available in Singapore. Ok, the cup is grossly huge, but it lasts longer. For just 30 cents more. This is so irreverent.

Feeling better about my age. Most of the people i know are older than me. Phew. Just need to dissociate from the undergrads, and hang on with the grads. Haha....
