Recommendations: Pandora is an online streaming music player which plays back to you songs having similar musical attributes as those you provided. E.g. I keyed in Coldplay and Death Cab for Cuties, and now Pandora is playing a whole slew of music by lesser known artistes whose songs have similar attributes to the 2 above-mentioned bands. This works on the assumption that if i liked these bands, i should technically enjoy listening to these new bands too. Music Genome Project. Try Pandora out! It's really cool!

Polyphosphates as a target for treating bacterial infection. This is really cool too. Am going to delve into it. It has potential for use in treating tuberculosis e.g. We are targetting the degradation of polyphosphates, by inhibiting polyphosphate kinase (PPK) which catalyses the synthesis of polyphosphate. And this is going to have broad spectrum, but specific effects on bacteria, due to the nature of the active site of PPK.

Polyphosphates sound cool, but one problem with the eradication of M.tuberculosis is the granulomatous reaction within the lung, which makes drug penetration very difficult - hence the 6-9 month therapy in TB. Hopefully the polyphosphates can have good penetration potential as well?
