More or less recovered from the jet lag, running on very little sleep (because i don't feel sleepy at all the whole day, and yet when i go to bed at decent hours, i end up with poor sleep, waking up at 3am). Yet, i feel good. Ok, very screwed up body clock. Yet to ruin it with caffeine, giving it time to adjust first.

After 2 days of shopping for classes, here's what i have decided to do this quarter... a slightly longer list than last quarter.

Bio136 - Evolutionary Paleobiology - way cool coz you get to look at fossils! Hee...

Bio209 - Human Genome - talks by people in the academia and pharmaceutical industry about the human genome and implications for health and blah blah. Hopefully this would turn out good.

Bio212 - Human Physiology - the lecturer was very good today. He has a MD, specialising in Emergency Med and Sports Med. We'll be covering ANS, muscles, cardio, respi, renal, and some oddball topics like deep sea physio. Hmm, ok. Kind of looking forward to take a med-oriented class.

Bio213 - Biology of Viruses - this was a last minute addition. Initially, i thought it would be a bacteriophage oriented class, since the prof lecturing is a phage person. But, it ain't so. Covering bact', plant and human viruses. So that's really neat too.

Bio342 - Plant Bio Seminar - similar to last quarter, a series of talks by plant biologists.

Plus i'm teaching Bio44X, which is a lab class for undergrads. So i'm guessing my hands are full this quarter. Nice mix of classes though.
