Been busy with song purchasing on ITunes and Konfabulator - a great program (recently made free because Yahoo bought over the company), giving people who don't have Mac OS 10.4 a chance to own beautiful widgets on the desktop. Anyway, i got hold of a couple of good songs.

1. Cold Wind by Arcade Fire
2. Track 1 by Sigur Ros
3. Just A Ride by Jem
4. I'm A Lonely Little Petunia by Imogen Heap

Pleased with my find. If only i can get hold of KT Tunstall who isn't available for sale on the US store. Probably a unknown artiste stateside. Make it over the Atlantic soon!! I'm not a big fan of American music.

Stressful Thursdays - looming. That's the day before my week's homework is due. Plus there's only 1 class on thursday morning, which makes it very easy to be trapped working on homework on thursday, and stress mounts hour by hour.

Ah. One of the widgets i added on my desktop via Konfabulator is an earthquake monitor. It displays the latest earthquake detected in California. And i'm surprised by the frequency of minor quakes here. Every so often, the display changes, informing you of a new quake. Most of them are small (in comparison to the big one that hit Pakistan on Saturday), haven't seen one >4.0 on the Richter so far. Which probably means humans are only sensitive to tremors above 3+ (i reckon). Then again it depends on the depth of the epicentre. Hmm.. phys geog. (Not too sure i'm right there).

Beyond stressful Thursdays, it's always Chill Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Alas. Too chilled.

Ah yes. Had pumpkin ice cream yesterday night. Was out for dinner in Palo Alto, and in the gelato store there was pumpkin. Hee. It tastes like cinnamon (mild). Then again, i never eat pumpkins in their natural state (like just chopping bits off and cooking it au naturale, without smashing it into paste/sauce) So, that's probably the normal taste of pumpkins. Anyway, it went quite well with vanilla - the sweetness of vanilla complemented the heavier pumpkin flavour.

Ah, just thought of something nice you could try - never tried this, mind, so totally at your own risk. =p Boil cubed pumpkin in sugar syrup, drain, chill, then serve with vanilla ice cream on top! OK, excellent way to put on the pounds; but then again, you probably can survive that?
