Taken moments before the weather turned VERY NASTY: there was a severe thunderstorm with hail and torrential rain, flooded the whole avenue within minutes. Was not fun walking the entire length of the avenue to get to a crowded metro station, with EVERYTHING drenched. I have NEVER experienced rain that heavy, not even during a tropical thunderstorm back home. Never. This event wins hands down with squally winds. But for now, it is blue skies and fine hot weather at the Trajan markets - more Roman ruins.
