Went to the nurseries for the very first time this morning with hongyee. Fun, bought a couple of lovely flowers to brighten up the house - a pot of african violets (which are such dear indoor hardies), a pot of oxalis... (which is a bit limp now), cut lilies and cut hyacinths. They were a steal at $5 each, but some of the stalks are severely damaged - bending over of the inflorescence. Bah.
