For the city cannot be just Victorian buildings, modern buildings do exist. And this photo provides a stark contrast to earlier photos. The subway station 'Cowcaddens' is in the midground, with flats behind. It's a fairly simple subway system, with just 1 loop. Trains run in either direction around the loop. So you have only 2 lines - an outer and an inner line.
