The news of nurses performing operations is alarming! And hernia repair, vasectomies and arthroscopies look easy, but they are not. Tsk tsk ... another one of those fallacies in govenment organisation, where they place non-medically-trained personnel right at the top. Just like down here. Full of fancy ideas, but with no practical considerations. They should, instead, train nurses to do silly house officer chores like paperwork, taking blood, setting catheters and all that nonsense.
