Updating time. Listening to Shared music on Itunes. Brilliant idea, they came up with. People over the same network, can stream each other's mp3 files, and share... which gives you a great opportunity to sample great songs, and then consider getting them. Love it! Genius Apple!
Listening to Sigur Ros now, off their () album. They are icelandic, i think. What's with Iceland? They have such intense music... Bjork. Sigur Ros. The icelandic sagas? Interestingly, icelandic retains the 'th' letter, lost in other germanic languages, including english, which used to have 1 letter to represent the th sound. Icelandic is probably the best preserved germanic language. Little has changed over the centuries, still possessing a lot of the original grammar and structure of germanic languages, thanks to its relative isolation to the rest of Europe. Lithuanian too is very archaic, very close to the original Indo-European language. Any linguist, by any chance, reading this, could tell me, what branch of linguistics is my fascination on? haha....
