It's time to do a collection of shots, which feature the same location over a period of time, to track the changing seasons. This is the shot for late october, early autumn. The leaves have lost their chlorophyll, well most of them - the sycamore is still largely green, but the limes have nearly gone yellow. So have the oaks and horse chestnuts. The birch is still going quite strong though. The Malus is also all flaming red already.. temperate trees are SO much easier to ID, compared to tropical trees. From my window, you can tell today is a bright sunny day, after a week of blustery winds. Finally, some sun. With the calm skies, comes the frost overnight, as temperatures plummet without cloud cover. There was frost this morning, covering the fields; pretty white crystals speckling the green grass.. like someone had sprinkled fine ice shavings all over the fields.
