I have good handwriting. So says every supervisor who has corrected my work. This is my good deed of my life - not subjecting someone to the agony of deciphering unreadable scrawls and scribes.
Reading about porphyrias at the moment. And no, medical students, i am not looking at porphyrias in man, but 'porphyrias' in plants. Defects in haem biosynthesis in plants can cause 'porphyrias' too. Which leads me to the final point: word creation. Mr Tan and I came up with this word 'stummy' sometime back. I forgot how it originally got started, but i half-suspect it was a joining of stomach and tummy - when the brain wants to say stomach, but the larynx wants to say tummy, so out comes a hybrid word. Unfortunately, it has become such a routine word in my vocab. that i refuse to believe that stummy is not a legit word. It must exist in the Oxford Dictionary!
Oddly, i don't usually report about my day. I wonder why. Maybe the events are inconsequential, while the thoughts are significant.
