Portugal

To start today's entry, i thought i would post this photo. Realise that i rarely have photos of myself. Just have an aversion to 'staged' photos. Rare that you actually capture moments.. it's usually posed and 3,2,1. How do you think photographers capture brilliant shots? They will take millions of shots of an image, and then select the best one out of them all - the photo where the moment is captured.

This photo was taken in march 04 in Portugal. I went on a field trip with the plant sci. department in school, and lest you think that going to the beach sounds out of the agenda, we were actually looking at the sand dune systems just sitting behind the gorgeous sandy white beach. The sea was yummy blue. Not a single surfer dude in sight. Ain't gonna remind you of California, babe.Acacias galore, the dreaded invasive plants from australia.

I love scenic shots. There's never a staged moment. You are always capturing no moments. You just take the shot when you feel like it. The effect can be marvellous. Watched the season finale of Six Feet Under last night. It was intense. Onward to Will and Grace season 7. Too much American TV, i say.Waiting for the thunderstorm to clear before i set off to hunt down a flash drive. Should be a useful gadget to have. Data transfer between computers would be much easier, given the fact that i have no printer when i get back, and my reports would need to be brought to the lab to be printed.

Quite decided to structure the blog in some way, haven't made it conclusive, but it's shaping up. I think running counter to yesterday's post of what makes you think you'll be alive the next moment, is at least you are still alive today.Injecting some positivism here. Why do you choose to be upset, when there are endless other possibilities to choose from, to live your day? Classic line from Richard Jenkins, who plays Nathaniel Sr. Fisher in 6 Ft Under (6FU). Life's not easy. If you still don't know that, go see a shrink. Nurse Kim comes highly recommended. The rain's easing somewhat. I never thought that this blog would ever be active again. Surprise!
